Terms & Conditions
By requesting a layaway via DM, the buyer fully accepts the terms described in this document. Silkstand reserves the right to modify these terms with prior notice. Modifications do not apply retroactively to layaways already confirmed.
§ 01Definitions
1.1Layaway: temporary reservation of an item by paying 50% of the agreed price.
1.2Down Payment: first payment of 50% required to activate the reservation.
1.3Final Payment: second payment of the remaining 50%, due upon the item's arrival in Mexico and after verification.
1.4Item Code: unique identifier (#SS0001) assigned to each product published on Insiders. Its use is optional — it can also be referred to by the item name.
1.5ETA: estimated time of arrival in Mexico indicated in each publication. Does not guarantee an exact date.
1.6Verification: review of authenticity, condition, and measurements that Silkstand performs on each item before sending it to the buyer.
§ 02Layaway Process

DM privatelySend a direct message on Instagram mentioning the item — it can be the name, code, or simply inquire about it.

Photos with measurements and detailed videoSilkstand sends the available material for the item — photos, measurements, and detailed video — so you can evaluate it before deciding. For items in transit, the material corresponds to that of the original supplier.

Confirm you wish to proceedYou evaluate the material and let us know you want to layaway the item.

Payment instructionsSilkstand sends SPEI details, 50% down payment amount, and a 48-hour window for transfer.

Down payment confirmationUpon payment verification, the item is officially RESERVED and removed from availability.

In transitSilkstand notifies you when your item leaves its origin and when it arrives in Mexico.

Arrival and verificationThe item arrives at our laboratory and undergoes authenticity and condition verification. We will notify you via message and request the remaining 50%. Deadline: 7 calendar days.

Final payment and deliveryProtected shipping is coordinated nationwide or pick-up in CDMX. Each item is delivered with its authenticity certificate and verifiable serial number.
§ 03Buyer's Obligations
3.1Make the 50% down payment within 48 hours of receiving payment instructions.
3.2Complete the final payment within 7 calendar days after notification of arrival.
3.3Maintain active communication via DM. Silkstand is not responsible for delays due to lack of response.
3.4Verify measurements, condition, and description before confirming. Layaway implies acceptance of the declared condition of the item. As these are unique items acquired on order, layaway is not subject to the site's 7-day return policy, except in cases provided for in § 04.
§ 04Cancellation Policy and Penalties

Voluntary cancellation — retention of import costEvery item published has already been acquired and imported by Silkstand. If the buyer cancels after the down payment is confirmed, Silkstand will retain 10% of the total price for import and management costs already incurred. The remaining balance will be refunded within 5 business days.

48h expiration — automatic releaseIf the down payment is not received within 48 hours, the reservation is canceled without penalty and the item returns to availability.

Failure to make final payment — retention of import costIf the final payment is not completed within 7 calendar days after arrival, Silkstand retains 10% of the total price and refunds the balance within 5 business days. No extensions are granted unless documented force majeure.

Exception — fault attributable to SilkstandIn case of lost package, undeclared serious damage, or inability to deliver, 100% will be refunded or an item of equivalent value will be offered, at the buyer's choice.

Exception — authenticity verificationIf an item does not pass our authenticity verification, 100% of the down payment will be refunded. No exceptions and no processing fees.

Exception — extraordinary delayIf more than 8 weeks have passed since the down payment confirmation without the item arriving in Mexico, the buyer may cancel with a 100% refund.
§ 05Item Condition and Description
5.1Silkstand publishes real photographs of each item, front and back. No catalog images or renders are used.
5.2The buyer may request a detailed video via DM before confirming the layaway.
5.3Every item published has already been acquired by Silkstand and is in our warehouse or in transit to Mexico. The status and ETA are indicated in each publication.
5.4Every item undergoes authenticity verification, condition, and measurements before shipping, and is delivered with an authenticity certificate and an online verifiable serial number.
§ 06Frequently Asked Questions
Can I transfer my layaway to another person?
No. The layaway is personal and non-transferable.
Can I layaway multiple items at once?
Yes, each item requires its own 50% down payment.
Is the ETA guaranteed?
No. Delays due to customs or logistics do not entitle cancellation without penalty, unless the 8 weeks indicated in § 04 are exceeded.
What payment methods do you accept?
SPEI transfer to a Mexican bank account for the down payment. Details are sent via DM. The final payment can be made by SPEI or by card, with an interest-free monthly installment option depending on the amount.
How do I know my item is authentic?
Each item undergoes our verification before shipping and is delivered with a certificate and a serial number that you can check online anytime. If an item does not pass verification, we will refund 100%.
Do you ship outside CDMX?
Yes, nationwide via premium courier with insurance included.
Can I pay 100% at once?
Yes. Paying the total upon layaway confirmation speeds up the process and eliminates the pending payment upon arrival.
